The chain already has 9 distribution centres spread throughout Europe to their name and number 10 is coming up at Flevokust Haven, where JYSK was able to get a large piece of land: the distribution centre will be 140,000 square metres. The direct proximity of the container terminal at the port was also a big plus for JYSK.

Festive start construction BESTSELLER: sustainable and ultramodern distribution centre
Danish fashion company BESTSELLER has started construction of its largest logistics centre in Europe. The 155,000-square-metre Logistics Centre West (LCW) in Lelystad is the largest investment in the company's history, and the symbolic first shovel in the ground was celebrated on 27 January 2025 by BESTSELLER employees and developer AAA United, together with key partners and local representatives.

A conscious choice
"Flevokust Haven is already more beautiful than I had dared to dream," says Carolien Gase, senior acquisition officer at Lelystad Municipality. "Wonderful companies have deliberately chosen the business park in the polder, partly because of its unique combination with the port." Big names such as BESTSELLER and JYSK are settling in Lelystad, bringing with them more activity as well as employment in the coming years. "But not only that, these companies really want to commit to the city. Future-oriented together, that's what Flevokust Haven stands for."
