The Lelystad Municipal Executive has informed the council about the granting of planning permission for the first phase of the Flevokust Campus data centre at Flevokust Haven. This concerns two applications that comply with the 2021 local development plan.
The development of Flevokust Haven in Lelystad is firmly on track when it comes to sustainability. This is evident from the annual monitoring of sustainability targets over 2025, presented on 6 March 2026.
With a combination of advantages - fewer trucks, lower emissions and more predictability - waterborne transport is rapidly gaining ground. With its unique location and multimodal inland port, Flevokust Haven shows that logistics can also be done differently.
The past year has seen a lot of hard work, both literally and figuratively, at Flevokust Haven. Much has been built and is in preparation. Large buildings of JYSK and BESTSELLER, among others, are rising in the polder.
During Entrepreneur's Week, we were given an impressive tour of BESTSELLER's construction site. A delegation, including Lelystad City Council alderman Dennis Grimbergen, visited the distribution centre on Thursday 20 November.
It is 2020. As the world stands still by corona, Carolien Gase, acquisition officer at Lelystad Municipality, slides a beer table onto the grounds of Flevokust Haven. With a jug of coffee and cups, she welcomes the delegation from Denmark.
