Today, the retail chain with Scandinavian roots can be found in no fewer than 48 countries and the counter stands at more than 3,300 shops and webshops. In the Netherlands, there are 102 shops. That is a large number and also exactly the intention: this way, JYSK is always close by for almost everyone. The large chain is run by no fewer than 31,000 employees.

Why Flevokust Haven?
JYSK is growing fast. In recent years, particularly in the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK and Ireland. The chain already has 9 distribution centres spread throughout Europe to their name and number 10 is coming up at Flevokust Haven, where JYSK was able to get a large piece of land: the distribution centre will be 140,000 square metres. The direct proximity of the container terminal at the port was also a big plus for JYSK.
Future plans
JYSK's mission is to offer everyone a beautiful Scandinavian bedroom and home range. Its ambition is to become the first choice of both customers and employees within retail. JYSK also wants to become the largest retail chain in the world. Looking at our own country, the goal is to grow to at least 130 shops.
