Tourism and recreation entrepreneurs gathered in Bataviahaven on Friday 20 March on SijFA Cruises' river cruise ship Otello for the opening of the tourism season. It was an inspiring afternoon looking ahead to developments in the Batavia Quarter.
Dynamism and potential
Our Leisure Economy team gave an update on expectations for the new season. This was followed by valuable presentations from our partners: Sven Westerink on behalf of Bataviahaven, Jorn van Woerkom on behalf of SijFA Cruises, Vincent van der Velde on behalf of Batavialand and Chris Janse on behalf of Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet. Their contributions clearly showed how much dynamism and potential there is in the area.
After the presentations, attendees were given a tour aboard the ship and we concluded the afternoon with networking drinks. A great opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and look ahead together to a promising season.
