Toms Creek Fish Park is a recreational day attraction in Lelystad, where visitors can relax in nature by fishing or take part in activities such as fatbiking, surfing, canoeing and wildlife games. From individual day guests to company outings of 400 people and children's parties, we offer something for everyone. Since 2004, when I started on my father's horse pasture, which was a care farm, the park has grown to 21 fishing ponds and various water and land activities. We are located on the most beautiful part of Lelystad, at the surfing and recreational lake Het Bovenwater.
Cooperation Lelystad Municipality
Since 2010, I have been in contact with the municipality for the Toms Creek permit process, including the zoning change and consultation with the Forestry Commission (SBB). The municipality has supported me well in obtaining the necessary permits and acts as a mediator between the entrepreneur and the municipal authorities. They play an important role by connecting different departments, especially when some departments are not always cooperative. Account managers have a crucial function here. Lelystad is a developing city with many entrepreneurial opportunities. Although there are regulations, the basic attitude of the municipality, depending on the department, is generally positive. The role of the account manager and the Economic Affairs department is very collaborative and supportive, which is essential for successful entrepreneurship.
