With its central location for all types of transport, Flevokust Haven is perfectly situated to be an important link in multimodal logistics. The port is located on important inland shipping routes between the seaports of Rotterdam, Antwerp and Amsterdam to the northern Netherlands and Germany. After the enlargement of the Kornwerdersluis, direct connections to the North and Baltic Seas will also be possible. With efficient access via water, Flevokust Port has everything it needs to develop into a 'hub' for inland shipping and, in time, short sea transport. The port also has the possibility of a rail connection to the Randstad and the Northern Netherlands, is close to the A6 motorway and Lelystad Airport and 45 minutes from Schiphol Airport.
