What a surprise, yesterday during the presentation of the Sustainable Water Use Business Award, Lelystad Airport Businesspark was declared the winner! This award, presented by Vitens, recognises companies and organisations that make a distinctive and substantial contribution to saving drinking water. We are extremely proud to have received this award!
With 51% of the jury's votes, our innovative water-saving vacuum sewer and the (natural) water treatment plant were chosen as the best example of a sustainable water chain. The jury explained: "The area approach and the completely water-neutral concept make this project unique. In addition, this concept offers opportunities for translation to other industrial estates".
