The Marker Wadden are man-made nature islands in the Markermeer. This newest piece of the Netherlands contributes to nature restoration. Sail along on the historic ferry MS Waddenzee and marvel at one of Western Europe's largest nature projects. Or go on an expedition with ms Nieuw Land through the Oostvaardersplassen. Where once an industrial area was conceived on the drawing board, a diverse marshland area of international significance for breeding and migratory birds has emerged. During the cruise, you will see various hotspots of Flevoland: The VOC ship the Batavia, Houtribsluizen locks, the Crouching Man, Poldervaart and locks with a 6-metre drop through the Noorder and Zuidersluis locks. The boat tours can be booked in combination with the Nieuw Land VR bus.
